Q: My insurance company will only sell me an HO-6 homeowners insurance policy which is a condominium policy that only insures the interior from the “drywall in”. What does that mean to me since Tivoli Village is not a condominium?

A: Tivoli Village purchases property damage insurance which covers the exterior surfaces of our villas and the roofs. The association is not responsible to maintain or repair the inside of the exterior walls and, therefore, is not responsible for damage inside the exterior walls. These areas are the responsibility of the homeowner and you should discuss this matter with your insurance company.
